Just The Boundless Ocean?

 

Imam al-Ghazali's teacher, Imam al-Haramain (Imam of the Two Sacred Lands – Makkah & Madinah), stated that Imam al-Ghazali was like the Boundless Ocean. Imam al-Haramain died when Imam al-Ghazali was 27 years old. This means that the title was attributed to him at the age of 27 and below.

 

Let's think about it... at that time Imam al-Ghazali was still young, had not yet left the uzlah, had not yet composed the main book Ihya' 'Ulumuddin, had not yet founded the Ghazaliyah Order, had not yet founded the science of as-sa'ah, had not yet become the mujaddid of the era, and had not yet achieved the status he desired. At that time, he was already called the Boundless Ocean.

 

I wonder, what title would be appropriate for him after he was in his 50s, had been in seclusion for 10 years, had completed the main book of Ihya', had founded the Ghazaliyah Order, had founded the science of as-sa'ah, had truly become the mujaddid of the era, and had achieved the position he had dreamed of?

قال إمام الحرمين (إمام مكة والمدينة)، شيخ الإمام الغزالي، إن الإمام الغزالي كان كالبحر الذي لا حدود له. توفي إمام الحرمين عندما كان الإمام الغزالي في السابعة والعشرين من عمره، مما يعني أن هذا اللقب أُطلق عليه في سن السابعة والعشرين أو أقل.

 

لنتأمل في ذلك... في ذلك الوقت، كان الإمام الغزالي لا يزال شابًا، لم يترك العزلة بعد، ولم يؤلف كتابه الرئيسي "إحياء علوم الدين"، ولم يؤسس الطريقة الغزالية، ولم يؤسس علم الساعة، ولم يصبح مجدد عصره، ولم يبلغ المكانة التي كان يطمح إليها. ومع ذلك، كان يُلقب بالبحر الذي لا حدود له.

 

أتساءل، ما اللقب الذي يليق به بعد أن يبلغ الخمسين من عمره، ويقضي عشر سنوات في عزلة، وينتهي من كتاب إحياء القرآن الكريم، ويؤسس الطريقة الغزالية، ويؤسس علم الساعة، ويصبح مجدد عصره بحق، ويحقق المكانة التي كان يطمح إليها؟

伊玛目加扎利的老师，两圣地伊玛目哈拉曼（麦加和麦地那的伊玛目）曾说，伊玛目加扎利如同无垠的海洋。哈拉曼去世时，伊玛目加扎利年仅27岁。这意味着，这个称号在他27岁及以下时就已经被赋予了他。
